Noranne Ellis BSc (Hons), PhD, PGCE, MIEEM

Professional Ecologist for over 22 years

Noranne has extensive practical ecological survey and assessment skills which underpin her project management skills and experience. Noranne has a wide range of experience across all the various stages of the development planning process. This includes working closely with planners and land agents, coordinating and overseeing the production of environmental statements and running public consultations, all representing a developer. In addition, as a consultant, assessing ecological/environmental impacts and working closely with SNH has also been an important element of her work.

She has also collated specialist information to inform appropriate assessments, and written habitat restoration/management and monitoring plans for wind farms, opencast mineral extractions, landfills, drilling and gas installations and housing and multipurpose developments. Noranne has extensive experience in applying for licences for European protected and UK protected species in Scotland and England.

Recently Noranne has worked as the Project Manager of the Beauly-Denny 400 kV transmission line Ecological Clerk of Works Role for MBEC. This role covered the extensive Northern and part of the Middle section of the project, for the first 15 months of construction.

One of Noranne’s key roles within MBEC, along with the Partners, is to coordinate both fieldwork and reporting over a range of projects and timescales.
